| GENERAL
POLICES
The first of each month, newsletters will be available on the web site and will be sent via e-mail if we have your e-mail address. If you do not have access to a computer, newsletters will be available at the reception desk. PLEASE READ THESE!!! This is the best form of communication we have for upcoming events, fee reminders, and changes. It is the parent's responsibility to know what is going on. The Superstars Performing Arts Academy does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all students be covered by their own family insurance policies. If injury occurs, it is understood that the student's own policy is your only source of reimbursement. The studio will not necessarily close for snow days, regardless if area schools are closed. If in doubt, call the studio for a recording on whether classes will be held or not. All snow day cancellations beyond the first two days will be scheduled for make-up at a later date. Holidays will GENERALLY follow school schedules. Holiday dates will be posted and reminders will be in the newsletters prior to holiday periods. We do not close for conferences, teachers' workdays or other misc. closings. Attendance: you must attend all of your regularly scheduled classes. Good attendance is imperative, as absences and tardiness can hold back an entire class. Please make every effort to have your child at every class. Good attendance is a must for competition students. There are no refunds given for missed classes. The viewing windows into the dance classrooms will be open at all times. Please do not bang on or tap the windows. Our tumbling viewing windows are open at the discretion of the competition tumbling and cheer coaches. It takes a long time to learn these skills; coaches will let you know when you may watch them. Private lessons are available at an extra charge to learn a routine for a competition or pageant, for extra technique help or extra help if classes have been missed, etc. Most routines take at least five or six lessons to learn. The cost is $25.00-$35.00 per hour payable to the teacher. Private lessons are subject to teacher's availability. Solos and special numbers for the recital will be selected by audition and under the discretion of the Superstars staff. The recital fee for solos, duets, etc. will be $100/per person. Seniors that have danced with the Superstars for 5 years are allowed to perform a solo in one recital for free and may perform in all shows for a fee of $100. Choreography fees and private lessons to learn routines are not included in this fee; they are required to perform in the recital, and are payable to the teacher. All special numbers and solos are to be choreographed by the Superstars staff. Special groups put together at the request of the studio will not incur these fees. Conferences with the
teachers can be arranged at any time at the students or parents request.
YOU MUST SCHEDULE YOUR CONFERENCE THROUGH THE OFFICE NOT THE TEACHER.
PLEASE DO NOT CONFERENCE WITH TEACHERS DURING CLASS TIME OR BETWEEN CLASSES.
It's very important to the success of the class that classes begin and
end on time. Superstars Performing
Arts Academy reserves the right to refuse service. |
